The China Instrument and Control Association recently officially released the "14th Five-Year Development Plan for the Instrumentation Industry," outlining the direction for the industry's development over the next five years.
Development Goals
The plan aims to achieve a total industry output value exceeding 1.5 trillion yuan by year 2027, with an average annual growth rate of over 8%. Specifically, the domestic supply rate for high-end scientific instruments and industrial automatic control system instruments must reach at least 70%.
Five Key Tasks
First, strengthen core technology R&D to achieve breakthroughs in key areas such as sensors, precision measurement, and intelligent control. Second, advance industrial restructuring by cultivating a group of internationally competitive leading enterprises. Third, improve the standards system by establishing product quality standards aligned with international norms. Fourth, reinforce talent development by building a highly skilled professional workforce. Fifth, deepen international cooperation and actively participate in global supply chain division of labor.
Policy Support Measures
Clear roadmap: We will seek policy support across finance, taxation, and financial sectors to establish a special fund for enterprise technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Additionally, we will encourage government procurement to prioritize high-quality domestic instruments.
